Simion is best known as the owner of the ReLoved Upholstery & Design company, founded & based in Manchester he has received commissions from around the world – becoming one of the go-to craftspeople for the restoration of iconic pieces of furniture – he is known as a renowned expert in breathing new life into the legendary Parker Knoll Statesmans & Arne Jacobsen Egg chairs. Simion has also expanded into interior design & styling with the new branch of his business – Reloved Interiors.
Over the last 6 years he has been featuring on BBC 1’s hit show Money for Nothing, designing & crafting unique re-workings of unwanted furniture. The show is also enjoying global success on Netflix as well as being a ratings hit on the BBC – series 15 is currently on air, with series 16, 17 & 18 already in the pipeline. He appears regularly as a live guest speaker & presenter throughout the UK, on events such as Grand Designs Live, Make It In Design & BBC 1 Morning Live.
Alongside this Simion has written for numerous publications & for the last 6 years he has had a monthly feature in much loved design magazine RECLAIM. His features for the magazine have evolved into a more recent feature ‘My Inspiration’ where Simion interviews famous makers, artisans & celebrities about their background & passions in the Reclaimed & Conscious aspects of the interior design & craft sector. He has also made guest contributions & given numerous interviews in a range of different publications.
Outside of his upholstery & design work Simion has been working to raise awareness of & help support the Neurodiverse Community. Through his own personal experience of ADHD, he shares his stories & in doing so hopes to encourage others to do the same, helping to keep the momentum of hugely important discussions on the topics of neurodiversity & also everybody’s mental health. These topics are so vital for so many, mental health in particular is relevant to us all & Simion is passionate about trying to reach out & help others
